The people behind the SPC effort

This is Soninha, a female poodle that we were called to rescue in January 2004. We found her by the roadside and she had been run over. From a distance, she appeared to be covered with blood. Up close, though, we saw that the reddish hue was a kind of sarcoptic mange. She also appeared to have been badly treated and perhaps abused as she was blind too. After intensive care that lasted the better part of two months she recovered significantly as can be seen from the two last pictures and today lives a healthy happy life.

This chap was found in 2002 skin and bone as you can see, weighing just 22kg but we felt he could regain his rightfull carriage, so we decided to call him Dragon... Today he weighs 50kg and has even become a blood donor helping to save other dogs.

These were brought to us undernourished and suffering from sarcoptic mange. In no time they were put back into shape and lined-up for a successful adoption.
